Is Franks considered a weak, if not, the weakest civilization?

I went from picking Persians, then Khmer, then Britons to now Franks as my main civ. I really enjoy playing them, their paladins are quite badass and their throwing axemen aren't too bad to be quite honest. Plus they don't have shitty trash units (thank God) (giving Turks as an example).

So what I did of course is consulting info on the web, on the forums you know, and what I got from those is a negative consideration to the Franks. Some people even said it's the "weakest" civ.
