Playing AOE 3 from just an external hard drive.

Is there a way I can have all my AOE 3 files on an external hard drive and be able to connect my hard drive to a computer and be able to play the game without having to install the game again? I am a student and I have time to kill in between classes. I live too far away from home to make it worth my time to walk home and then just walk back. I was hoping to get the files on my external hard drive and be able to play on the computers in the library. Is this possible?
