AoM: Extended Edition. "The application is unable to start correctly: error (0xc0000022)." how do I fix it?

The game worked after I installed it yesterday, but today it stopped working and gave me that error message all of the sudden. I tried enabling "Directplay" but it was already enabled. I also tried running it as admin but it didn't work. I even downloaded msxlm4 like the pinned video said but still... didn't work.

What should I do here?
