Why I quit aoe2

So, I used to play this game as a kid on my PS2 back in the early 2000s, and I loved it ever since. Around 2015 I got random youtube suggestions of aoe2 vids, and I loved them. Illumiknight was the channel if I remember correctly, and, with time I started watching Twitch. I loved the community games, the pro games, just the game entirely. So I decided to buy it so I can play as well.

Played around 50-100ish games on Voobly, NPE lobby, reached the benchmark and got booted from NPE.

But, having played about 20-30 games of nomad FFA in RM/DM lobby I had a horrid win/lose ( 7/23 ) so whenever I tried to play 4v4s I would get kicked. I couldn't play in NPE and people would kick me out almost instantly from 4v4 lobbies. One time I waited hours to get into a game, just to see one of my teammates ragequit after I made the small mistake and saying something like ''shoulda kicked this idiot''.

So I made a post on reddit, got advised to make a new account. And so I did, but guess what, nobody wants to play with a 0 games played account either. I spent hours upon hours getting kicked from lobbies and waiting in my own hoping someone would play, and when I finally got into a game, we lose it. I played pretty good but a loss is a loss. I tried again, spend more hours trying to play.

I gave up on it and played a couple of nomad FFA games and by doing so ruined my win loss again. So that's when I decided to quit.

I'm still around the community and love the game but sucks I'll never get to play it again since I don't have the time to waste just to play a single match.
