Why towers should be stronger

First, why towers shouldn’t stay the same: They are too easy to cheese with and make annoying tower rush games. In the early game, they are high risk high reward and often don't lead to very fun games. Tower rushes should still be in the game, but not be so powerful that they are in many games.

Second, why towers shouldn’t be made weaker: They would never be used. Currently, bombard towers and castles are built in the late game but keeps are not (at least, only very rarely and with certain civs). If they were made weaker, they would be useless at tower rushing and useless at late game and therefore never used at all.

Finally, why they should be stronger: If towers were stronger they would also have to cost more resources in order not to be imba. If we push this to the extreme, a tower would do 3x its current damage and cost 250 stone 200 wood. If this were the case, tower rushing would be much harder to do, but late game towers would actually be something that could happen. Again, this is an extreme example and making them 2x the price and 3x the damage is not what I would recommend, but with some testing a happy medium could be found where they are used less in early game rushing and more in late game area defending.
