As above.
Recently I started watching mbl playing BF on twitch and I found his way of playing fascinating. When he is pocket he boom fast and give 0 help to his flank. And if the flank ask for help, maybe at the beginning of the game for walling, he ask himself why everyone ask for help for walling and that he doesn't want to lose his scout.
So I tried to follow his style (even though I'm on NPL) and well... didn't worked well... In a situation of 4v 3 opponent (because one opponent dropped) in the middle of my boom my flank was outnumbered and in difficulty... I told him to hold while I walled himself out to complete my boom... Near the end of my boom I tried to helping him somehow but at that time he was almost destroyed and guess what he did? He want to my base and started to steal all my gold and all my stone with so many vills that mine could't even touch my own gold. When I asked him to go away and leave me my gold as I couldn't afford units without gold, he refused telling me next time I will learn to help, so basically he did this as a retaliation.
In the end we managed to win, but... I can't understand what's the better thing to do. I understand my teammate needing help, and I used to help my teammates over my strategy before, but at the same time I don't think that sticking with your strategy as mbl do is wrong, as the enemy attackers all had castle age units when they was approaching to my base while I had imperial units at that time (even though with no gold because of my teammate)
