I just played a 2v2 game against the AI. My I was Bulgarians and my teammate was Teutons and the AIs were Mayans and Bulgarians. My mounted Elite Konnik at the end of the game had 8 (2+6) pierce armor. I can get +4 PA from the blacksmith, but where is the other +2 from? I booted up a test game with a Teuton ally and researched all the upgrades and still only had 2+4 PA.
