Slav’s Civ Bonus, very homely.

Looking through the list of Civ’s we have today I was looking for a civ bonus that, whilst at first glance, doesn’t seem to make that much of a difference if used in “early game” can have quiet the impact. I found one in the Slav’s bonus of military buildings providing 5 pop space.

Now on the surface you may not think that this is much of a bonus at all but in reality, in the early game at least (so from dark to say early castle age) it can have a significant impact if used well. I’m not saying I’m a pro at this but I found a way to use it “properly.

See if you build a Barracks and you are either already housed or getting close then there is no need to build another house to get militia as the barracks gives you the five pop space that you need.

After clicking up it is fairly normal to build either an archery range or a stable (depending on your strat) and a couple houses to get military out on the map. Slav’s you don’t NEED to straight away. You have pop space from your range or stable. Very handy little bonus, yeah building houses is cheaper but hey you need the military buildings anyway so it’s a nice little “buffer” to stop from getting housed.

Just my humble opinion. What other Civ’s bonus is like this. Not a big bonus but can make a big difference in early game???
