There seems to frequently be discussions about whether memes are good or bad on this sub with the result usually being 'there's the 10% of the home page rule which keeps them in check' or 'if the people don't like memes they will be downvoted'.
As someone who likes a good meme every now and then I think it's getting out of hand. I want to be able to see proper discussions about a game I love (This time I came looking for discussion about the Gamer Legion team announcement). Instead I see the same memes over and over again about how my pocket is booming or my base is being destroyed while I micro 2 archers.
As an example here's a screenshot of my front page. There's only 2 non meme posts in the top half (3 of them are the same meme!) Much more than 10%. https://imgur.com/a/L9ee5WA
I think the best solution for this would be to have a pinned weekly thread exclusively for memes.
