Does anyone read traditional military strategy books?

Does anyone read traditional military strategy books? I have been reading Victor Davis Hanson's The Savior Generals and John Lewis Gladdis' On Grand Strategy. Both present fundamental principles of strategy, portrayals of the psychology of command, and case studies that seem relevant to high level AOE2 play like that often showcased by T90Official on his YouTube and Twitch channels. The Savior Generals, five case studies of commanders who managed to salvage seemingly lost situations, has been for me the more stimulating read.
