Noob Help: Custom Scenario

Can anyone tell me where I've gone wrong:

I spent all night making a map I really like in custom scenario, got the player and computers locations, AI start locations, player 1 human ( brit ), all others are computer but when I play the scenario it forces me as player 8 ( ottoman ) even though player 8 is set as computer. Im a noob to aoe3 but i dont recall aoe2 making me want to commit sudoku so much as 3. Ive followed the basic guides for setting the AI and havent gone messing with setting and stuff I just want to start as player 1 not get forced as player 8. Sorry if this makes no sense im feeling very frustrated i didnt know i was going to have to learn to code just to play a custom game
