Planning to pre-order Age of Empires 3 Definitive Edition, is 8gb ram really enough?

I want to buy the newer version since the older version seems more expensive. Will it run properly? or do you think it would be laggy or something. I'm trying to decide whether to buy this right now or wait since I might not even be able to play it normally
