What do you do as flank when you have a booming pocket.

I just played a 4v4 as Mayans while my pocket went Khmer. My pocket was really great however the other side Mongols and Goths both boomed after feudal aggression. So their opposing pocket player kept sending knights to me while my pocket faced his guy. My enemy flank would have been dead if not for that.

I'd love to hear the opinions of more experienced players as to how they react when their pocket is booming. Especially when there is a language barrier or for some reason, they aren't responding to chat. Is it possible to hold out 2v1? And if so what would you do to ensure you survive?
