Game installation not recognised by MS Store

Hi,

I returned to MS Store owned (couple years) AoE:DE game after few weeks pause and I just got stuck with ominous " We are not quite done syncing with Xbox Live". While I was attempting to solve the issue I also went into Store. To clear this up, above mentioned status pops up while in actual game which runs from local installation.

However within the store, the game appears to be not installed at all. I tried install in a hope it will recognise the actual installation on the HDD - to my suprise it happily went to install the game for second time.

So I went to application list within my OS settings, where the installed game is indeed recognised and even its setting is being offered. Then I made a test and tried to add non-steam game into my Steam Library - and because I was stupid enough to buy it from MS Store - it did not recognise it indeed.

I tried to repair the app - no result, I tried to reset the app - no result.

I am aware the most common solution is to go hard way - uninstall and reinstall back. But A) it does not help every players and B) F*ck MS - damn it is Microsoft game, in Microsoft Store on Microsoft OS. Some people even reported neccesity to reinstal not the game, but the OS.

Please tell me there is normal way to correct this.

EDIT: Despite not listing good old restart above - I did perform few while trying to solve. None worked, so I posted this. When I did I did restart OS once again - and everything works now.

And to save breath with conspiracies - the reddit stuff was done from different computer with different MS account.

My best guess is it actualy was doing some sync, which I kept killing via my trials. It actualy finished while I was writing and posting this post, and after last restart it just worked. Or it was lucky restart - I dont know :)
