Wait for AoE:3, or just get AoE:2?

Hey all,

Been itching for an RTS game, and I've never actually played Age of Empires before, was just something I missed.

I know that Age of Empires 3: Definitive Edition is coming out soon, but I also see that AoE 2: DE is really popular on steam, and was an amazing game.

Think it's worth waiting for AoE 3 to come out, or do you think AoE 2 is the better game/will retain more popularity/players?
