Best Defensive Civs for Walling up and not letting enemies in to my walls?

Hello,

When playing AOE, I like going for a defensive approach and just walling up on my side of the map. I've been using the Britons a lot to defend because I like their long range, but I find that they don't dish out a lot of damage. I don't really play competively so, I just try to defend from rushes and basically become Ba Sing Sea, from Avatar the Last Airbender.

What are some good civs I can try for my style of play? The Byzantine are really good defensively, but are there any others that have strong range units to defend behind the walls, good range to easily take down siege weapons, and good damage output?
