CMV: the game should display DPS 0 rather than attack

If you can only have one stat to represent attack, DPS (damage per second) is more informative than attack. Different units may have similar attack but have different attack rates (tarkan vs knights, camels vs knights, archers vs longbows, Japanese infantry, stirrups cav, Ethiopian archers...) making comparisons difficult. DPS is a better measure since it aggregates attack and attack rate.

Next question becomes what DPS to use. If you multiply attack rate per second with attack level, you get DPS against a zero armour target. However, in Imperial age, it makes more sense to look instead at e.g. DPS 5, the damage per second against an opponent with 5 armour. Unless you are a Leitis.

Maybe the best summary statistic would start as DPS1 and then switch to DPS2 when opponent is in feudal, them DPS3 and DPS5 in castle and imp?
