Need Troubleshooting Help for "Failed Graphics Card Startup" error (AoE 2: Definitive Edition)

Hello, I was not sure where I could post this, but I've scoured the internet for solutions to this problem, and until tonight, just assumed I didn't have enough PC for this game.

My wife and I recently got an itch to play AoE 2, since we both grew up with it. So we bought the Definitive Edition on Steam, and installed it on her computer. She ran the program, and was greeted with this error message, just after the splash screen:

So now, as things tend to go, my wife has STOLEN my computer, which I wish to be using for my own gaming exploits, so I set to work finding out how to fix this issue. The internet was marginally helpful - it seems there may be a driver I can download, which will allow DX11 support for her onboard GPU (Intel HD Graphics).

But all my searching did not lead to any success, so for about a week, we just gave up looking. So she's been playing on my computer all this time, and tonight I was just like, okay, let's take another crack at this.

So I went to PCGameBenchmark.com, and downloaded their little executable that scans your system specs, and compares them against the minimum & recommended specs for the game you are trying to run. And this was the result:

So what in the world do I need to do? Have others on this subreddit gone through this, and can help me out? I really want us to be able to play at the same time.
