Age Of Empires 3 CD Install on Windows 10 - Error 1935

I found a complete collection disc set for Age of Empires 3 earlier today and I wanted to try it out.

I put in the first disc and started the install and it all went smoothly until I reached the third disc. At this point, a little pop up appeared saying "Error 1935".

\"Error 1935. An error occurred during the installation of assembly component.\"

I clicked OK and it said "rolling back" or something and another error popped up, saying error 1603 I think.

I've been googling the error messages and nearly every forum thread I've found has been from 10 years ago and hasn't been answered or the answer hasn't been confirmed to work.

Is there any way without buying AoE3 on Steam to get this to work?
