How to be usefull?

I have a friend of mine who is 2k elo, and he wants to do some 2v2 pvp with me. I dont mind him carrying me, but how can i be usefull. Im playing this game for 2 weeks now, and play a lot of Mongols (for the + 2 vision) and i was thinking about just scouting scouting and scouting, and just spawn Watch Towers at peak points while i let him raid and do the micro managing. What do you guys think about this, or do you guys have other tips?
