Buildings disappearing and becoming unselectable with data mod pack.

Any way i can solve this? I downloaded the AG3 data mod pack which gave the error "an error occurred while trying to start the game. the dataset contained an unexpected number of civilizations. it is not compatible with this version of aoe2 de"

So after going in AGE3 and adding 3 extra civs manually i got it to boot a game, but once i reach the second age most buildings are invisible or just cast a shadow, they als obecome unselectable. Any way i can solve this?
