Hello aoe2 reddit!
So, sometimes I watch Spirit Of The Law's AoE2 videos and I remember this one particular video where Spirit compared Age of Empires to the "spectrum of strategy games", putting Sid Meier's Civilization on one side and StarCraft 2 on the other side of the scale.
I want to find this particular video + this fragment, but I've watched too many of Spirits videos, so most of them have the "red line" under them in YouTube, so it would take me a long time to skim trough all of these 10-15 minute videos.
That's why I want your help!
What else I remember about the video:
Spirit was explaining how on one side a game like Civilization can have 40+ different civilizations with each having only 1-2-3 unique units/buildings etc. and thus having like a 90% overlap of having the exact same things as every other civilization in the game. And on the other extreme putting the strategy game StarCraft 2 in which there are only 3 races, each being super distinct in their gameplay / design / appearance etc. while being about equality balanced against each other. He then placed AoE 2 somewhere in the middle, leaning slightly towards the Civilization type of strategy games.
Hope anyone can help me, thank you, guest273 :)
