Co-op game AI after game restore fixed?

Me and my friends play aoe against bots. Till a couple weeks ago, if one of us crashed or disconnected, when we pause and save the game and then restore it, the AI would more or less stop working. I am not sure what exactly used to happen but it would basically stop army production and most of the villagers would become idle. Any idea if this has been fixed in the recent updates? We haven't gotten a chance to play this month, so I haven't tested it yet
