Any way to increase FPS, other than adding a dGPU?

I'm usinge a Thinkcentre M72e SFF. 16GB RAM, SSD, i5-3470 or something like that. Using Fedora Linux v36. Strange as it may be, some steam games run pretty decent on my old TV, as I use it as my HTPC. AOM has choppy graphics at times, especially with the mist and menu. Anyway to increase the FPS a bit? The game is old as heck, so it should run a bit better than this.
