Multiplayer

I used to play the game a lot but recently bought the HD version. I’ve tried out the multiplayer today and I seem to be getting a lot of lag when usually I don’t. Before game I’ll be getting ping with other players between 20-80 but somehow it feels really clunky in game. I’ll get a villager to move to a spot and it’ll take a second before they start moving. Is there anything I can do to stop this? On other games I rarely ever come across lag. My internet speed is 30mb. Oh and I play with people on the close setting as well.
