Four AI players - FFA on arabia - small map size (3p)
First match: Aztecs Berbers Britons Burmese
Being in a FFA match every AI went for 30+ villagers in dark age and then fast castle. Aggression usually started in Imperial Age. The Aztecs were first to Imp. However they send their eagle army into the Berber's base - getting them killed. Soon after the British attacked the Aztecs and forced them to surrender. Meanwhile the Berbers destroyed the Burmese. Thanks to their effective use of the superior ranged archers the british took the victory.
Winner: Britons
2nd match: Byzantines Celts Chinese Ethiopians
With the Chinese an archer civ again won this match. The Ethiopians went for Shotel Warrior and failed miserably.
Winner: Chinese
3rd match: Franks Goths Huns Incas
This match was domintaed by frankish and hunnic cavalry. Making effective use of their cavalry archer the Huns took this game.
Winner: Huns
4th match: Indians Italians Japanese Khmer
Indians became the only none AoK/AoC-civ to win in the first round.
Winner: Indians
5th match: Koreans Magyars Malay Malians
The Koreans won this match being the only civ winning a wonder victory and the only civ winning without having the most endgame points. Accordingly Malay was the only civ with the most endgame points not advancing.
Winner: Koreans
6th match: Mayans Mongols Persians Portugese
The Mayans continued the success of archer civs in the first round. After easily defeating the Persians they turned onto the Mongols, who tried to win by wonder. The Portugese (with 2 Feitorias) destroyed the Mongol's wonder, while the Mayans destroyed the Mongol's base.
Winner: Mayans
7th match: Saracens Slavs Spanish Teutons
The Saracens played an unique monk+mameluck combo that worked very well vs their opposing civs. Also they were unique in managing to grab all relics before the others (some managed to get all after conquering opponents in previous matches) and therefor having the fastest first round win.
Winner: Saracens
8th match: Turks Vietnamese Vikings
The Vikings chose to play with archers - maybe hoping to have the same success like the archer civs, but they got destroyed by their two opponents. Unfortunately this resulted in a very long, bloody and boring 1v1 until absolutely no ressources were left on the entire map! Eventually the Turks came out on top in a very disappointing fashion, when both had nothing left, because they had 4 relics to 1 and therefor more gold.
Winner: Turks
2nd round first match: Britons Chinese Huns Indians
Soon after hiting imp the Huns turned on the aggression and were unstopable taking this match in very convincing fashion.
Winner: Huns
2nd round 2nd match: Koreans Mayans Saracens Turks
Based on the first round results there was hope that the Mayans would make short process of the turks. However the korean war wagons proved to be a tough matchup for the Mayans. On the opposing side of the map the Saracens went on converting rampage again. That resulted in them drawing in the attention of Koreans and Turks. However they soon turned back onto the Mayans forcing them into surrender, soon followed by the Saracens' surrender. In the 1v1 the war wagons were still dominant - however not enough to break the Turks. The battle went back and force and on for a while. Eventually the Turks came out on top and the surprise winner again.
Winner: Turks
Final match: Huns Turks
This was the only match on a tiny arabia map as well as the only match not being a FFA. Based on these settings and former results the Huns naturally were the big favorites. As expected the game was not as boom and tech heavy as before. The huns went to Feudal at 26pop. They were considerably faster than the Turks and started to muster a feudal army and attack. However the Turks meanwhile made their own feudal army and defended easily. This resulted in no further feudal aggression. Both increased their feudal army and went into castle. The Huns went for mainly cav-archers and knights, whereas the Turks went for xbows and camels. During researching imp the Huns started their attack. However got defeated again. The turkish counter attack was easily picked of by hunnic light-cav. Both built up a big army again and soon after started fighting non-stop. After a while of very bloody fighting the Huns came out on top.
Tournament Winner: Huns
