Any useful tips for a noob playing 2v2 with the AI?

I have less than 200 hours in this game but Im loving it! I play against the AI because my wifi connection is very bad

I tried a 2v2 match for the first time but it felt like 1v2 because my ally (resonance bot) didnt acept the chat command "222" to attack the enemies with me. I saw this command in a google search and tried it. The AI responds to it (something like "im busy beign attacked, gotta take care of my own here") but even when I killed the units harassing him and sent the command again, he responded the same.

Am I missing something here? This is pretty much the only command I know, any other info would be greatly appreciated
