Is AOMEE worth it?

I played this game on the discs with my 3 other family members and have fond memories of this game. Me and my 2 brothers would take on my dad in a 3v1 and he is a god so it was hard to beat him. Very back and forth though. Anyway, I looked around the subreddit and saw something called Voobly. Using context clues I deduced that this was another way to play the game. So is it worth it to go AOMEE or should I do something else like Voobly. I saw the game on sale and thought I needed to get it and checked here to see how to the community was and it looks like it is alive.
