Hey Guys! Hope you're all having a nice week- I sure haven't :P
Still working on the Tibetan Civ Concept, and I have to say that I've really enjoyed talking it out piece by piece with you guys instead of posting it all at once- I think we're going to get a much better end product because of it.
Currently I've been trying to figure out what a good UU would be for the Tibetans gameplay wise, and it got me thinking about how UUs are treated in AoE2
A lot of UUs are truly unique, and fill their own niche in the meta (Huskarl being the best example), while others often try to replace generic units in army combos (Samurai = Champion, Huszar = Hussar, Mangudai = HCA) while offering subtle differences (UU bonus damage, Siege Bonus Damage, Siege Bonus Damage?)
I wanted to get your opinions on the subject, so I made a little straw poll:
Niche UUs vs 'Generic Replacement' UUs
So what do you guys think? Are the slight variations on units like the Huszar or Mangudai enough to make them Unique, or do you prefer complete game changers like the Huskarl?
Be sure to comment here if your opinion is too complex for the poll!
Can't wait to hear what everyone thinks.
