Hi, I'm back! This time let me guide you through the Atlantic Ocean to the New World, hundreds of years before Colombus or ever Leif Erickson landed: The Classical Age of precolumbian America. History: Tiwanaku was a city founded around 2nd century, who slowly grown on the next 400 years. In the 6th century, Tiwanaku became really populous and started an expansion through their religion and culture, who extend to the actual territories of Bolivia, Peru and part of Chile. They felt on the 11th century.
Tiwanaku
Monk and tower civilization
Recieve a monk (that can't convert until castle age) and a relic each age up
Towers cost 10/20/40% less at feudal/castle/imperial age
Monks regain faith 10 (11)% faster with every monastery tech researched
Team Bonus: Structures avaible one age earlier
Well, lets talk about the UU:
Gusha Swordsman (elite)
Cost: 45F 45G |Hp: 50 (65)|Attack: 8 (11)|Armor: 2/3 (3/4) |ROF: 3 |Speed: 1.2 |LOS: 7 |Upgrade cost: 900F 750G |Bonus Damage: +15 (25) vs siege |Hidden attribues: 8 infantry armor
it would be a better UU to the Wari but, as they did get military and Tiwanaku doesn't but Tiwanaku had a more worked culturally and religion aspects, this civ is made to represent both.
The armor make them tank pretty well, with 6 melee and 8 pierce armor when FU, but they have lower hp than champions. They move pretty fast but they have a low ROF. It's made to protect your monks and archers.
UTs:
Castle Age: Pucará (villagers avaible on castles) Cost: 50F 100W
Imperial Age: Viracocha (Monks do splash healing and move 10% faster ) Cost: 1000F 600G
Well, the first UT is made to don't need to put that much stone on TC and expend it on castles, leting you put more castles without risking the economy but is pretty useless most of times.
If I can mod the Second UT it's one one of the MOST OP UTs ever, letting you put a lot of units and make them almost unbeateble with your monks. It's pretty expensive, yes, but it's worth picking if you have some monks.
Disabled techs:
Barracks: /
Archery: Cavalry archer, HC, Parthian Tactics
Stable: Everything
Blacksmith: Blast Furnace, cavalry armor techs
Siege Workshop: Capped rams Bombard cannon
Monastery: Illumination
Economy: Two Man Saw
University: Bombard Tower, Arrowslits
Dock: Galleon, Cannon Galleon
Castle: Treason, Sappers
I know that letting them have +66% more FU towers can be crazy but surprise! They lack arrowslits. It may look still OP and this civ may be known by having an imperial age keep push but Yasama is pretty strong too and probably on a similar level.
The tech tree it's lacking a lot: the infantry may be weak, the archers are generic, they doesn't have cavalry, BBC or onagers but their monks may be really strong and certainly are on the same level as Aztecs if not better, their defenses are so strong and their economy too. Their obvious strategy may be FC to monks, with some pikes and Arbs, really strong on it but looks like one of their only possiblities of rushes. If not, turtle until imperial age and go with UU, Arbalests and Monks and some Trebs and the enemy will suffer a lot.
The team bonus was inspirated on slothismysin on their Catalonian idea.
Hope you enjoy, give me your taunts and help me balance it. Goodbye!
