Strategies with mongols aside of mass mangudais

Hi there. I'm planning of playing some games with mongols after a looong time (I've just finishied Netflix's Marco Polo) but the thing is that every game I play against them the only thing my opponents seems to do is go either scouts to mangudais or fc mangudais. Like literally every game and it's the only non-siege unit they make. It led to the point of not only get me to hate that unit despite being one of the strongest in the game but also not knowing anything else the civ could do. So now I'm in this situation of wanting to play mongols but trying to avoid mangudais (unless they go siege or pikes or smth when mangudais is definetly the way to go) or at least make them part of an army composition. So the question is, what other strategies or army comps are at least viable with mongols? Thank you in advance
