Early fa aggression (micro / macro)

I have been working through a MAA build which involves very early FA aggression - you click up, get MAA and attack just as MAA finishes upgrading.

I generally try and just put the MAA on their lumber camp/gold/berries to disrupt their eco but always find I need to micro pretty hard because my MAA almost always follow their vils to their TC and get killed by the TC.

I’ve tried “Defensive Stance” and “Stand Ground” but doesn’t seem to do anything - I.e they keep ending up at the TC getting killed whilst I’m focussing on my eco.

What is the best way to keep my army to not stray too far. I would prefer to just be able to leave them alone. Is it patrolling? Or do I just need to hotkey the MAA and continuously micro them.
