Adventutes of a DM player in RM

I've been having some great fun playing rm on hd as a relative new player. I'm just starting to get to the stage where the dark age flows more naturally and i can switch a strat if i see something with the scout. Anyway, some highlights of my time so far

1. I'm addicted to douching on black forest. It works 40% of the time at my low level. Being a dm player i like to get at people early and a surprising amount of people panic. When it doesnt work, its hilarious - like not having enough wood or putting your tc out of range.

2. If someone plays a map with non standard settings, theyre trying something weird. Played an arabia and the map was explored. I'm either getting my boar stolen or as was the case, the guy tried to wall me in. Unfortunately id already drushed his stone and whilst he did early feudal he hadnt loomed.

3. Incas are way op. Extra house pop and that wonderful llama means no panic at the start when you cant find the sheep. Drush to eagle scrush deals with archer flush. Slightly vulnerable to scrush but then the kamayuk is great. Sorry i know its not meta, but players like to knight rush eagle civs. Also, going eagles gives beefy villies.

4. If i get to imp its gg. My ally resigned under low pressure in mid castle age and i went on to beat two in imp with mayans. I'm only at 1650. Are you guys decent at the late game at higher rates?

5. If you make a mistake its not very forgiving in the early game, fuck up a boar lure/ villies get jammed at a woodpile, drush eats tc. i generally go on to lose. You can get away with a lot more in dm and still make it.

Overall rm is really fun, and the feeling of executing a perfect dark age is like a symphony
