Hello, I am attempting to play Age of Empires 2 HD, on my laptop.
It has Intel I7-6500U CPU, HD Graphics 520 GPU, 16GB of RAM and running windows 10 64 bit.
But the game is intolerably slow, I even reduced the resolution from 4k to 2k and it seemed to not help whatsoever.
My hardware seems to more than exceed the recommended requirements so it is likely to be game related, but I am not sure what the solution should be.
I added "-dxlevel80" to the launch options since this was reported to fix the FPS issue for some people. But not for me unfortunately. 3D Water Rendering and V-sync is also off.
According to several reports on reddit, people with comparable and way worse systems can run this game just fine.
Can anyone give me a tip regarding how to proceed?
