My new Random Map concept: Donuts

Everyone starts surrounded by a ring of trees, resources contained within.

Here's the basic idea

(Bear in mind I removed the central resources for now, you're just looking at a concept)

The question is... Would you/people interested in playing a map like this?

Finishing this to a standard I would find acceptable would take a good amount of time to perfect. So I want to see if it's a popular enough idea.
