Hi guys!
I play AoE2 with 3 friends and we are all casual players.
My teammate has not played much of AoE2, so the games are mostly a 2v1 situation, as he plays sim city and the two other players don't bother much about him.
So let's assume it's a 2v1 situation:
What strategy should I learn? We play the steam version without the add-on civs.
I guess if they reach imperial age undisturbed we will lose.
I thought about the scout rush (similar to st4rks build order) to disturb the stronger player of the enemy team. But I'm at least 1-2min slower in the feudal age because sometimes I can't find the sheep right away or only one boar,... In conclusion I guess I'm not fast enough to pull off this strategy against 2 players.
In your opinion: Should I try to improve my scout rush or should I change to a different strategy (which one)?
Do you have any tips to make my dark age life a bit easier? I'm already learning short cuts for buildings, I use control groups for my scout, TC and sometimes sheep (but I'm uncomfortable to scout with them).
When do you guys get loom in a multiplayer game?
TL;DR: Do you have any tips on what build order I should learn to have a fair chance against two casual players? And maybe some dark age tips, as I find it pretty stressful and in all the youtube videos it looks so easy.
Thank you for your opinion/answers.
