I'm back playing after almost a year, I have a couple of questions

So I've played 4 game today after almost a year I'm not playing.

I thought of joining some bf games for noobs to play chill games in order to take back my hands with the game. But my matches were embarassing. Everyone. So much that I'm guessing there has been a rise in the competitive level of the players in this year that I have not played.

I mean... on these 4 games I've found 1100 rated players that know units and counter-units, almost everyone is able to do a fast castle before 18 minutes now, they have a general idea on how to play. For example, I was flank for 3 games out of 4. As said, I though to boom as a flank just to be chill and to resume my game's habit a bit... but in every game I was rushed by 1100 rated players. An year ago booming as a flank against 1100 rated was possible and was really hard to be punished for doing that. Today happened 3 games out of 4.

Is this just a guess or is true?
