[HELP] AoM:EE not launching?

Forgive me if this isn't the place to ask for tech support.

I recently upgraded to a 1440p monitor, and ever since AoM:EE crashes on launch. I get the launcher to show up fine, then a black screen for half a second and then nothing. I'm on Windows 10, latest windows updates and latest nvidia drivers etc

I've tried all the fixes I've found online:

• Setting the game to windowed in the ini
• Many different custom resolutions in the ini
• Setting the .exe to run at 640x480
• Running the .exe in compatibility mode for Windows XP
• Reinstalling the game
• Checking file integrity on steam
• Deleting the .exe and THEN checking integrity
• Uninstalling all steam workshop mods

None of these worked. It used to work completely fine on this computer. I've tried it on my 1080p TV too and it still won't launch, so I don't know if the monitor is even related. Not that it matters, but AoE2 (DE and HD) and AoE3 run with no issues.

Any help?
