Question on AI in DE campaigns

Hello,

I'm currently thinking about buying DE, mostly for the campaigns. I've been a huge fan of the AoK/AoC-campaigns, but the campaigns in the later expansions were a huge disappointment for me, mostly because of the lack of voice acting (but afaik all campaigns have voice acting in DE?!) and in particular because of the AI getting an apparently infinite amount of resources, which leading to it continuously spawning wave after wave after wave of units. This lead to virtually every scenario being a a war of attrition which simply wasnt fun for me.

So my question is: Is this behavior still present in the campaigns? I know I could watch some videos of playthroughs, but I want to avoid spoilers as much as possible (yeah, spoilers for events that happened centuries ago). I also read that apparently many of the older campaigns have received updates, but I'd like to know if these campaigns now also "feel" like the old ones.
