I'm currently a senior in High School enrolled in a dual enrollment program at the local university. For quite some time I've known that I'm really interested in physics but I've never thought of making any sort of career out of it, but recently it seems like it might be the right choice for me. I'm in my second year at the university and the major related classes I've been taking have lined up with a pre-engineering/ Physics degree. I'm wondering what I should pursue. If I choose physics and not some form of engineering would I have to go to school beyond undergrad to be marketable for a job? I'm not averse to the idea of going to graduate school but I don't want to completely rely on it. So, I would like to pursue a physics degree, but I'm not sure if it is the "wisest" decision for me at the moment. What would you suggest?
