I would like to share the mindset of my Noob play-style

The reason why I start building trade-carts in feudal age is because I view it as a long-term investment, If my cart trades 10 times bringing me 120 gold a trip, the investment had a 10x payout. If I invest in building 5+ trade carts early I can have a constant flow of gold the entire game and not have to worry. I struggle to use resources anyways, so this is a good use.

I always get loom before sending the villager out to lure the boar out of sheer convenience, getting loom that early helps stockpile food to prevent future drop-offs not to mention it allows me to not have to task 2+ villagers to fight off a scout attack. I could care less about having 1 extra villager working.

I don't ever buy and sell resources using the market unless Saracens because the wealth transfer is not equal and resources are sunk / lost. I would rather wait an extra 2 minutes to reach the castle age than sell wood which is 500+ in supply.

I build houses in squares / straight lines because it allows me to have ample base space for farming and it doesn't trigger my OCD.

I don't bother pushing deer towards my base because I end up idling the town-center and ending up a villager or two behind the enemy.

I don't bother scout rushing because they easily die from just 1 spearman. I don't bother making crossbows in castle age because one mangonel can easily kill them, not to mention they always ending up going to close to the enemy town center.

I don't do any sort of rush because by the time the rush is at the enemy base it is already 16 minutes game time. I am better off just going for the fast-castle strategy and making knights.

In nomad I always make my town center away from resources so I can make the town center the central point of my economy so villagers don't have to run so far to safety, not to mention it is better for placing farms.

If I get attacked by 2 or more scouts in feudal age I immediately make 1 spearman for each sector of the economy, fighting with villagers is just too much stress.

So that is the mindset of my Noob play-style, reflecting back I would say everything sounds reasonable and justifiable. Of course I don't do any of this anymore.
