PSA: For new players on Steam being approached by "expert" players who are offering coaching lessons, please watch out.

Hey everyone, following some recent events posted over at aoczone regarding "expert" coaching lessons, there are players who claim to be experts due to inflated high rating offering coaching lessons for an unreasonable price.

Now while I don't think anyone who frequents here as much would not buy in to these coaching sessions, there may be some newer players out there who may browse the subreddit and as such may happen to think twice before purchasing any coaching sessions and to make sure the person who is coaching them is genuine.

There is nothing against teaching others how to play and as a small community that's growing daily and attracting new players, it would be ashame for someone to pay for coaching lessons thinking they are getting a good deal only to find out they may have not got what they have quite bargained for.

For those new to the community and are thinking about purchasing lessons, I strongly recommend first knowing the game as well as the community and the top players before you think about seeking lessons (if you are paying for them) as then you are more than likely to see who is genuine and who is not. The subreddit sidebar is a good start if you are new here and are looking for information on how to play online.

There are always players who are willing to help you for free as the community simply want the game to grow and as such attracting newer players by teaching them achieves that.

For now, please avoid any player on steam offering sessions for payment and please spread the word to any new players or current players who are seeking ways to improve not to purchase any lessons on Steam.

Regards

HyunAOP :)
