Question: About interjection between physical fields

As a biophysicist to be (just need to wait two more years), I am always interested in ways to apply various fields of fundamental physics to biological systems, because well, life is the most fascinating physical process I know, in my personal opinion. Are you aware or may believe that some fields in fundamental physics could have a bigger impact on biophysics, but have yet to be applied? Thank you beforehand.
