both passable and impassable makes perfect sense to me. moving a huge army through a forest is very difficult, since the terrain will hinder moving in large groups, plus it's very easy to get lost/ambushed. with each unit ingame models a battalion or a regiment rather than a single soldier, it kinda make sense said unit can't pass through. however, movement through jungle is just hard, not impossible, so it also make sense that troops can still go into wooded areas, as seen in aoe3. and with regard to time frame, the roman and the german tribes fought numerous times in the forest, and agincourt was also fought in a forested terrain. allowing troops to go into such terrain is fitting of the represented timeframe, and would also allow for more interesting gameplay. my small suggestion for this is to simply allow forest moving, but move slower than in open ground, and troops are somewhat hidden from enemy's line of sight. the only downside i can foresee is that this will definitely buff ranged troops though. but hey, some civs like the vietnamese or iroquois are renowned ambushers and skilled jungle warriors, so it still seem fitting. what are you thought on this? please leave any other suggestion should you have one
