Hi all, this may be a stupid question, but is there a mathematical proof of why c (the absolute speed of the universe) is the speed at which electromagnetic waves propogate (the speed of light). I'm not asking why the speed of light is 1/(epsilon mu), I understand this. More like, why does relativity use this speed as the absolute speed c. Thanks in advance!
