When writing my physics paper, I am to calculate the error in the values. We measured the time taken for a pendulum to oscillate 10 times, and divided the time by 10 to work out its period.
If a = b/c, then the percentage uncertainty in a is the sum of the percentage uncertainty of b and c.
However, in my situation, c is 10, which is not a measured value.
How do I describe the error in 10? Looking for something along the lines of arbitrary uncertainty, or infinite accuracy.
