Good gaming laptop for traveling or no?

So I'll be traveling quite a bit this coming year for work (Military). I'll be away from home like 4 or 5 months out of the next 12. Because of this, I am going to need a good complimentary gaming laptop. I have a gaming desktop that I built, but hauling that thing around while I am traveling is not practical at all.

I purchased the MSI GP62MVR 7RFX Leopord Pro. Specs below. I should've made this post BEFORE I purchased the laptop but, I can always return it and get a different one if convinced otherwise. I play pretty much every type of PC game out there. From Age of Empires II, to Battlefield V, to the Flight Simulator games. My main concern is my laptop playing "demanding" games will staying cool and playing them around 60fps at 1080p res. Do you think it can do that? Should I get something else? Thanks

Specs:

GTX 1060

16GB DDR4 RAM

Intel Core i7 7700HQ @ 2.8 GHz

Storage is partitioned:

250GB SAMSUNG (SATA (SSD))

1 TB HDD
