Aoe2 won't boot from disk

Hey all,

Trying to install it for my nan, it has let me install from the disk but when I click launch in the same menu it doesn't do anything.

It seemingly doesn't want to boot.

Using Windows 7 professional, service pack 1 for reference.

Any help would be greatly appreciated
