You can actually move around the positions of the interface in your game. I personally like everything at the bottom, since you can get a faster overview of minimap, production queue, and recources. This is how you do it. Locate your AOE folder (in steam, rightclick on game and browse folder) - go to Inside "widgetui", you'll have a lot of different things you dont want to change. If you're really clumsy or have never coded before, quickly make backups of these files. (if you've screwed up, deleting them will probably cause defaults to be created - cant confirm though) You can open any of these files in Notepad, or any other code editing software You can have AOE open while you change these around. After you Save the file, the game will instantly update the position. If nothing moves, you did something wrong.
