Raiding: Mixed feelings

I was discussing with a friend in which he was convincing me that raiding is part of the game and one should exploit that, when I have strong mixed feelings (I feel like there is no honor) about it. I am talking about castle and/or imperial age when first proper mid size army battle going on, my friend usually makes a second or part of his main army (camel, hussar, CA, eagle or fast UU) to enemies eco. This being most of the times a supplement to the battle happening at some middle ground, but not always . Some people will just deal with it but some other can not stand it and just quit My POV is that I feel not being it a fair strategy, I am not used to wall (proper wall or building wall), although I do put a few random towers and tcs, so all vill will garrison, but one of those raiding parties still makes lots of damage, and I don't like to do what I don't like being done. My idea would be take the winning position in the main battle, move into his forward defenses and then go full force to all his domain. Not jumping directly to his safe zone. I am not talking about a rush in dark age, feudal or late war in imp age. Map wise ofc not on BF but also not on Arabia, some map in between (tons) That's a different story So...should I adopt this strategy which might move the game into a new layout planning (with repetition and more players doing it, people will adapt and take this into account)?? Thoughts?
